In the ESD sector, it is particularly important that work chairs not only offer the greatest possible comfort for employees, but also dissipate possible electrostatic charges. Even the slightest discharge, which is far from being felt by humans, can cause devastating damage to microelectronic components. To prevent this from happening, every Bimos work chair is a reliable overall system for the ESD sector: the surface of the comfortable upholstery is conductive, as are the castors, glides and plastics. All steel parts have a conductive coating, so that the discharge takes place without any gaps across all components. These work chairs are also of much higher quality than required by relevant standards.
Despite all safety, however, the comfort for the sitting person is not missing out either: each work chair is designed according to ergonomic aspects and allows the seated person to easily make individual adjustments. Depending on the position, these can be changed quickly and steplessly. The stools permit extra freedom of movement and rapid rotation. They are adjustable in height and thus allow different working positions and a constant relief of the legs and the spine.
